North Court Building
175 Main Street
White Plains, NY

This Art Deco office building suffered a devastating lobby fire years ago, and previous owners sealed up original decoration behind new plaster ceilings. JRA was retained to restore the lobby. In the process, a damaged tile ceiling was uncovered, with many tiles missing. As part of the restoration, Janko Rasic Architects restored the original plaster ceiling, recreated a mezzanine balcony overlooking the lobby and designed a custom pendant fixtures and uplights to highlight the decorative tile ceiling.
