Wayne Nish, owner and chef, of the three star restaurant wanted to double seating capacity, while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. JRA designed a three storey addition behind the existing townhouse. The addition has three dining levels and features a roof garden- a quiet, private oasis in busy Midtown Manhattan. Skylights allow patrons to dining under the stars at the mezzanine level. The expanded kitchen and food preparation area includes a new wine cellar. New York Magazine rates March as one of New York’s most romantic restaurants. The New York Times’ William Grimes states that March “increased seating from 50 - 85 but retained the elegant intimacy.”
